Every customer has their own style and price range. That's why we at the GoodTimber offer custom options to give you "just what you want" in a price range you can afford. Though none of our add-ons are necessary -
we think you will find they can be very nice and beautiful additions to your furniture! However, please keep in mind that the custom add-on's are an option that are only available for our products made in-house. These products will have an item/product number beginning in GT or FS, ending in C or HB, or a 4 digit number with no letters. Unfortunately, the custom options listed below are not available on our white cedar log furniture.
FINISH - 7201: Most of our log furniture comes
ready-to-finish in order to save you money (with the exception of our "Field & Stream and Classic" style furniture which does come already finished). You can purchase a gallon of clear acrylic polyurethane at most home improvement stores for around $30-$40. However, if you desire, we will finish your furniture for you. We use only Benjamin Moore & Co. brand finish which runs around $50-$60 a gallon and it is the best finish we have found on the market. We apply three good coats to each piece of furniture you request to have finished. Our finishing prices are as follows and can be ordered on each individual item page:

We use ONLY the finest of finishes - Benjamin Moore & Co. (See chart statistics below). Benjamin Moore & Co. is by far the best finish for log furniture because it produces the least amount of yellowing or changes in the coloring of the logs compared to other brands. From our testing, it is the only finish that not only keeps the actual color of the wood, but also brings out the natural colors and beauty of the logs. This creates log furniture that is a brilliant and wonderful color. No other finish comes close to this quality. Benjamin Moore & Co. finish also has the strongest and finest materials and ingredients, but it does not have harmful chemicals like other finishes. It is great for the environment. (See chart below). Benjamin Moore & Co. is very prominent and well known throughout the world because of its quality standards and extensive quality testing. The cost of Benjamin Moore & Co. finish is much more than most, but WELL worth it. This finish, if applied correctly, will assure the very best protection for your investment.
BED OPTIONS
All of our beds come with everything you need except the box spring & mattress. Therefore, these add-ons are not necessary, but each one of them can be a very nice and beautiful addition to your bed. Please keep in mind that the custom add-on's are an option that are only available for our products made in-house. EXTRA SPINDLES/RUNGS $20 EACH, FREE SHIPPING IF SHIPPED WITH THE BED - 7202H, 7202F: Spindles are the smaller vertical pieces in the head and footboards of our beds. Additional spindles can be added if you prefer the look of more tightly spaced spindles. All beds come with some spindles in the headboard with the exception of our corral bed which comes with an extra headboard rail instead. Please check the description of the bed you are interested in to determine how many spindles come in the headboard and whether or not any come in the footboard.
EXTRA SIDE RAILS $90 A SET PLUS $15 ADDITIONAL SHIPPING PER SET, IF SHIPPED WITH THE BED - 7203: (Side rail orders shipped seperately ship for $25 per set): Side rails are the rails that connect the head and footboards together. All beds come with one side rail on each side of the bed (except the "Classic" style which comes with two on each side). Our beds are plenty sturdy with only one side rail, but two rails on each side makes the beds even sturdier.
EXTRA SLATS $15 EACH PLUS $5 ADDITIONAL SHIPPING EACH - 7204: Slats are the pieces of lumber that insert into the side rails and support the mattress. Each bed comes with three slats, which is all that is necessary to make the bed plenty strong. However, some people prefer more.
DOWELS $98.62 PER BED, $197.24 PER BUNKBED, FREE SHIPPING - 7205: Each bed is bolted together with lag bolts. Each bolt-hole is countersunk, leaving a hole that hides the bolt. Some people prefer the look of dowels covering up the holes, which gives the look of the rail extending through and out the other side of the post. (See picture below.) Dowels are a very attractive add-on. Dowels may not be added to our Hide-a-Bed Trundle or Underbed drawers because they prevent the item from fitting under the bed.

PLUGS $44.98 PER BED, $89.96 PER BUNKBED, FREE SHIPPING - 7206: Each bed is bolted together with lag bolts. Each bolt-hole is countersunk, leaving a hole that hides the bolt. Some people prefer the look of plugs covering up the holes, which gives the look of the rail extending through the post (picture coming soon). The plugs are very similar to the dowels, however instead of extending out from the post, the plug is built to be semi-flush against the post (they may stick out slightly from the post, but not much). Plugs are another very attractive add-on. Plugs may not be added to our Hide-a-Bed Trundle or Underbed drawers because they prevent the item from fitting under the bed. POSTER BED $185 PER BED PLUS $70.99 ADDITIONAL SHIPPING IF SHIPPED WITH THE BED - 7207: This option will make all your posts 6' tall. This is a very good-looking addition.
LARGE WOOD VARIOUS PRICES (see below) - 7208: Our hand-peeled beds come with plenty of character & size which will certainly be pleasing to you. However, some people like even more character & size which larger wood always brings. This is a nice addition for customers who like really rustic furniture. (This option is not available on our lathed style beds.)

DOVETAIL DRAWERS $15/DRAWER: Dovetail drawers have always been the strongest and best looking way to join drawers together. Dovetails are a very good idea if you want to be more detailed. Even though they are inside the drawers, people will always be more likely to notice the dovetail joinery; even more so than any thing else on the piece.

ACCENT CARVING - PINE CONES $98.89 (see image below) OR CUSTOM CARVING CALL FOR QUOTE - 7200: Hand-carved custom carvings can be added to the drawers or cabinets of any of our made in-house cabinetry products.
